Summer Youth Camps

All-Skills Baseball Camps (for players ages 7 to 12 yrs) REGISTER NOW!

Our all-skills camps provide a great opportunity for learning valuable fundamental skills necessary for enhancing your child's ability to play the sport of baseball. Small instructor-to-camper ratios allow for individual attention to each camper and direct instruction is focused on the campers' needs. Kids will learn many aspects of the sport including:

  • Hitting
  • Pitching
  • Fielding
  • Baserunning
  • Throwing

A station-to-station format provides all campers the chance to be educated in the fundamentals of all of the above skills. Included at camps held at the UD location (Sessions I - III below) is a swimming session in the middle of the day, giving them a nice break from the heat and a chance to cool off! After returning from the swim session, the campers will then be assigned to teams for competitive scrimmage games that take place every afternoon.

Session III July 28 - August 1, 2008

All sessions run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Before & after care is available for those who wish to drop campers off earlier and/or pick them up later. Before and after care extends the day of care from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.

Cost - $235/week (Before & after care is an additional $75/week)

Summer Skill-Specific Hitting Camps

Instructional Hitting Camps (for players in grades 8 to 12) REGISTER NOW!

Location – Bob Hannah Stadium (U of D Baseball Field) (Map)

The instructional hitting camps are skill specific camps designed to completely emphasize different techniques and approaches to hitting. This camp focuses a tremendous amount of time on developing good hitting mechanics. All players will develop an understanding of the type of hitter he needs to be as he prepares to compete at the higher levels of baseball.

Session I July 14 - 18, 2008
Session II July 21 - 25, 2008

All sessions run from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm.

Summer Skill-Specific Pitching/Catching Camp

Instructional Pitching/Catching Camp (for players in grades 8 to 12) REGISTER NOW!

Location – Bob Hannah Stadium (U of D Baseball Field) (Map)

The instructional pitching camp is a skill specific camp designed to completely emphasize different techniques and approaches to pitching. This camp focuses a tremendous amount of time on developing good pitching mechanics. Time will also be spent educating young pitchers about how to grip and throw different pitches. Please be informed that this camp does not involve an extensive amount of throwing and will not be detrimental to anyone's summer baseball pitching schedules. The instructional catching camp is a skill specific camp designed to emphasize fundamental catching skills. These skills will include receiving, blocking and the development of catch-and-throw skills. Catchers will also have the opportunity to receive pitches from pitchers in the pitchers camp so that instruction can be provided in the areas of receiving and setup behind home plate.

Summer High School Instructional Showcase Camps

In the summer of 2008, we will be conducting two instructional showcase camps for rising sophomore, junior and senior high school players (grades 10, 11 & 12). We anticipate that there will be several college recruiters, as well as professional baseball scouts, in attendance for this event. All players will receive quality instruction from college coaches as well as have a great opportunity to demonstrate their abilities as a baseball player in competitive game settings.

Who - All high school players that are 2009, 2010 and 2011 grads

Dates:

Camp #1 July 8 - 9, 2008 (rain date - 7/10)
Camp #2 August 8 - 9, 2008 (rain date - 8/10)

Daily schedule: Camp will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each day

Cost - $300/player/camp

Fall High School Prospect Clinic

In the fall of 2008, we will be conducting one instructional showcase prospect clinic for players who are 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduates. We anticipate that there will be several college recruiters, as well as professional baseball scouts, in attendance for this event. All players will receive quality instruction from college coaches as well as have a great opportunity to demonstrate their abilities as a baseball player in competitive game settings.

Who - All players that are 2009, 2010 or 2011 grads

Date - October 25-26, 2008

Time - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Colleges and professionall teams that have worked and/or recruited our camps include Cecil Community College, Delaware State, Elizabethtown, , Franklin & Marshall, Gloucester County College, Rowan University, Towson, West Chester, Wilmington College, Montclair State, Washington College, Eastern College, Stevens College, Siena College and the Philadelphia Phillies. Players are welcome to invite any college coaches to watch them at any of our camps.

Cost - $175.00/player OR $200.00/player if participating both as a position player and a pitcher

Winter HS Instructional Showcase Camp


In December of this year, we will be conducting an instructional showcase prospect camp for players who are 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduates. We anticipate that there will be several college recruiters, as well as professional baseball scouts, in attendance for this event. All players will receive quality instruction from college coaches as well as have a great opportunity to demonstrate their abilities as a baseball player as part of a "pro-style" workout format. Each camp is limited to the first 50 players to register. All registrations will be confirmed by placing each participant's name on a roster on this website! ice-arena.jpg

Times -

  • Infielders/Outfielders: check-in @ 9:30 am: Camp runs from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Pitchers/Catchers: check-in @ 12:00 pm: Camp runs from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Cost - $175.00/session ($200.00 to participate as both a pitcher and a position player)
